Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have been told they will not be wearing their military uniform at the Queen’s coffin procession.

According to The Sun, they will have to wear civilian clothing when walking behind her coffin, since they are both no longer participating in royal duties.

Prince Harry stepped down in 2021 after he moved to Los Angeles with his wife Meghan Markle, while Prince Andrew was forced to step away in 2019 due to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York will be allowed to wear his military uniform during the Vigil of Princes this week while he stands next to the Queen’s coffin, as a special mark of respect.

A spokesperson for Prince Harry has addressed the decision, where they’ve said: “Prince Harry will wear a morning suit throughout events honouring his grandmother.

“His decade of military service is not determined by the uniform he wears and we respectfully ask that focus remain on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
