Rebel Wilson’s best friend has explained how she got together with her girlfriend, Ramona Agruma.
Hugh Sheridan, an Australian singer, said he set the pair up after the actress told him she ‘had never been in love’.
Speaking on The Morning Crew programme on 2Day FM, Sheridan explained how he was ‘determined’ to find his pal a potential suitor.

He told the radio show: “I was in New York and I had just split up with my ex when Rebel said to me, ‘I can’t imagine how sad you must feel. I’ve never really been in love before’.”
After this, he said he instantly thought of their mutual friend, Arguma.
“I think for a woman that is successful, it takes a strong man to stay with them, but I thought a woman with a woman that’s successful might lift each other up,” he continued. “So I told Rebel later on and they spoke for a week before Rebel came back from Australia to meet her, and they’ve been together ever since.”
It comes after the star took to Instagram to introduce her new partner to fans on June 9.

Alongside a picture of the pair, she penned: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess. #loveislove.”
The post has been liked by over a million people on the platform and several of the actress’s celebrity friends have shared well wishes.
Fellow Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick commented: “Love you both like crazy,” and Killing Eve actress Jodie Comer penned: “So much love!”
Although it marked the first time the 42-year-old publically shared a photo with her new partner, it wasn’t the first time they had been spotted together.
Both of them were spotted at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March, although it’s believed they hadn’t confirmed their relationship then.
