Sophie Turner has broken her silence on her divorce from Joe Jonas in a statement.
The Game of Thrones star, 27, and the Jonas Brothers singer, 34, first started dating in 2016 before getting engaged in 2017.
Turner and Jonas had two wedding ceremonies – the first one in Las Vegas in May 2019 and a second wedding the following month in France.
They share two daughters – three-year-old Willa and a one-year-old who has not had her name publicly shared.
Sadly, news has broken that Jonas has filed for divorce from Turner and the Dark Phoenix actress has now broken her silence on the matter.

Posting a message on her Instagram from the pair, the X-Men actress said: “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
The ‘Cake By The Ocean’ singer reportedly filed for divorce on September 5, with documents obtained by Today stating that ‘the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken’.
A source close to the pair has told TMZ that their different lifestyles are a contributing factor to their decision to end their four-year marriage.
“She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles,” the outlet reports.
In the divorce documents, which have also been seen by TMZ, Jonas wants to establish a clear parenting plan between him and Turner that ensures ‘frequent and continuing contact with both parties’.
A detail that is noted by the outlet from the petition is that their daughters have been spending more time with the ‘Sucker’ singer both in Miami and while he has been touring.
Fans of the couple have taken to social media to react to the news.
“Love is dead. Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are getting divorced,” pens one person.
A second says: “JOE JONAS AND SOPHIE TURNER ARE GETTING DIVORCE LIKE WHAT THE F*** IS GOING ON WITH 2023.”

Someone else says: “Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are divorced for real. Too bad because I really love their chemistry. I hope Sophie, Joe and both of their kids are gonna be fine.”
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in May 2022, the Time Freak actress said that she knew she wanted to marry Jonas ‘the first night’ they met in 2016.
The former couple’s wedding took place in Las Vegas in May 2019 while visiting the city for the Billboard Music Awards.
They decided to tie the knot in Sin City as they knew they ‘had to do a legal marriage before we did a real big one’, according to Jonas in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
Jonas and Turner had their second wedding a month later at Chateau de Tourreau in the south of France, with all of their friends and family in attendance.
