Sam Asghari has reportedly filed for divorce from Britney Spears.
The ‘Toxic’ singer, 41, first met the Iranian-American model, 29, on the set of her music video ‘Slumber Party’ in 2016.
They began dating shortly after and in 2021, they announced their engagement.
Spears and Asghari tied the knot at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, on June 9, 2022.
Several celebrities were present at the ceremony, including Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton.
But after 14 months of marriage, news has broken that Spears and Asghari have called it quits.

As reported by TMZ on Wednesday, August 16, Asghari filed for divorce from Spears, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for ending the marriage.
However, in a separate article by the publisher, it is alleged that the pair got involved in a huge fight as the model thought that the ‘…Baby One More Time’ singer was having an affair.
The outlet also reported that the couple has been having problems for months, leading to Asghari barely sleeping at home and getting involved in multiple screaming matches.
A source close to the pair tells ET, who first broke the divorce filings: “Britney and Sam have split. She’s adamant she didn’t cheat. The two haven’t got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup.”
Other sources close to Spears have reached out to ET, claiming that she is currently ‘not doing well’ after trying to get back on her feet and be healthy ’emotionally, physically, and mentally’.
Addressing the reports that they’ve had issues for a while, one source explained: “Britney and Sam have had ups and downs throughout their relationship.
“They have a lot of love for each other, but they also argue a lot over fundamental issues. Sometimes they feel as though each other’s needs aren’t being completely met.”
They went on to say that their arguments had become ‘more serious and real’.
Another source claims that the pair had issues before they even got married and at points throughout their relationship, they have been an ‘on-off couple’.

It has been reported that Spears made Asghari sign a prenup – to make sure that the pop star’s finances are protected – but his lawyer, Neal Hersh, has reportedly told TMZ that they will contest it.
The documents say: “[Sam] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party.
“There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time.”
While the outlet believes the appeal will be unsuccessful, sources claim that Spears will settle the claim with Asghari by writing him a cheque.
