Squid Game fans have discovered that the explosive ending is hinted at in the ‘Tug of War’ scene.
In episode four of the popular Netflix series, the players must form groups of 10 and take part in the childhood game.
But before the challenge starts, everyone has to be padlocked to the rope so that if their team loses, they will be pulled off the edge and face death.

However, some eagle-eyed fans have zoomed in on the scene and noticed that, unlike the other challengers, the Old Man has a cuff without the padlock – which means if his team lost, he wouldn’t fall with everyone else.
This is a pretty big deal as, later on, viewers discover that the elderly character is the mastermind behind the whole game.
The ‘Easter Egg’ was spotted by TikToker @jinenie and the clip has since accumulated over 60.9million views.

Many people have taken to the comments and said they couldn’t believe how many clues Squid Game fans were given.
One person commented: “So many clues but I was too busy reading the subtitles!”
Another added: “The Old Man was never really in danger the whole game… Every game that was played was games he knew about beforehand and wanted to play, that’s why.”
“He was #1 for a reason,” a third noted.
Pitching in, a fourth said: “This series is so good that you don’t pay attention to the details.”
Squid Game fans have also spotted another important clue about the challenges, which is hidden in the murals of the dormitory walls.
Apparently, there are figures of the six contestants playing out the six games, including the honeycomb challenge.
