So, what is this mysterious trend that’s capturing the hearts and minds of millions of women?
It’s a praise k***, sometimes called ‘affirmation play’ or a ‘good girl/boy k***,’ involving words of assurance and appreciation during intimate moments.
Unlike most trends, it’s deeply rooted in the psychological and emotional aspects of intimacy and when a person is attuned to it will create a deeper connection and passion.
The praising can focus on specific skills, behaviors, or physical attributes.
Expert Dr. Nicole K. McNichols explains on TikTok: “People who have praise k***s get turned on by their partner complimenting them. Praise k*** exists on a continuum of course, because, I mean, who doesn’t love being told that they’re beautiful or hot or amazing in some way?”
With this topic gaining traction online, many are opening up about their affinity for affirmations, including columnist Jana Hocking.
In a piece for the Daily Mail, Hocking reveals that while it may seem ‘horrendously self-centered, slightly narcissistic, and probably a bit shameless to admit to,’ she is ‘very much on board with it.’
She points out: “It has had a whopping 60 million views on TikTok so clearly I’m not the only one lapping it up.”
