Former P***Hub star Mia Khalifa shot to fame during her time as an adult star but it didn’t take her long to quit and move on to new ventures.

In fact, since leaving, the 30-year-old has spoken openly about how the industry, which she spent three months in, is a terrible choice and has even begged women to not follow in her footsteps.

However, despite leaving the adult world behind, Khalifa – who has an incredible social media following – has continued to use her stage name when in fact her real name is something much more ordinary.

Why does Mia Khalifa use her adult star name still?

For Khalifa, it wasn’t about branding or continuing her business as many other adult stars do, it was about taking back control.

Having not enjoyed her early career, she claimed keeping the name was about redefining a moment.

She revealed on TikTok: “We take that word back, we reclaim it and we make it our own, which is the reason I still use the name Mia Khalifa because it is a reclamation. It is my way of reclaiming something that is mine.”

At the time, Khalifa was also talking about her jewellery brand Shaytan, which translates to ‘devil’ in Arabic.

Following some serious backlash over her branding she explained how she was taking control of how that word was used in her culture.

In a previous interview, she explained her stage name came from her dog at the time, Mia, and the rapper Wiz Khalifa, as she was a fan of his music at the time.
