Alan Sugar Slams Amber Heard And Johnny Depp For Airing ‘Dirty Laundry’

Alan Sugar Depp Heard: The Apprentice star has weighed in on the high-profile defamation case.

Alan Sugar has slammed Amber Heard and Johnny Depp for airing ‘dirty laundry’ in the high-profile defamation trial

The 75-year-old has recently taken to Twitter and questioned why the former couple is sharing so much personal information with the world.

He tweeted: “Can someone explain to me what Johnny Depp’s case against his ex-wife Amber Heard is all about?

“The headlines are defamation, what does he expect to gain? Both of them are washing their dirty laundry in public. WHY?”

Other users on the site were divided in their response to Sugar’s question, with one writing: “It is not dirty laundry. Domestic abuse has been determined.

“She is being re-victimised by her abusers via a legal system. There should be more protection and the matter should have not gone to court. Comments like this set back the progression made in domestic abuse.”

“The reason is to raise awareness that women are responsible for their actions and cannot abuse men.” a second wrote. “Heard physically abused Depp and then made fun of him and taunted him about it. This happens all over the world including to me in a previous relationship. Not okay.”

Agreeing with Sugar, a third remarked: “Sir Alan, I was only just thinking the same thing, what do they hope to gain from it? No closure for sure.

“It’s driving me nuts when more important news. Go home and sort it out privately, there is a war on every front going on, world/economy/pandemic.”

Depp is suing his ex-wife for $50million over a 2018 piece in The Washington Post that he has claimed implied he physically assaulted Heard during their marriage, despite the fact it didn’t name him.
