Johnny Depp’s body language during his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard has been branded ‘concerning’ by an expert.

Julie Grant, who is a lawyer and host of CourtTV, spoke to Good Morning Britain about the actor’s reaction to Heard’s testimony.

Claiming it was hard to know what’s ‘authentic,’ she said: “I thought Amber Heard testified as well as she could. Him looking down most of the time was concerning.

“Sometimes it can be effective to look like you’re not paying attention to a jury. That’s a trial advocacy trick.

“But to do it for such a prolonged period of time on Wednesday, that to me was a problem. I’m mindful that these two are actors.

“It’s really hard to know what is authentic and what is an act.”

Heard took to the stand on the fourth week of the high-profile case and has so far made several bombshell claims about Depp, one of which was that he allegedly ‘held his dog out of a moving car’.

Recalling the moment it allegedly happened while on the stand, the Aquaman star said: “He grabs this teacup Yorkie and holds Boo out of the window of the moving car, and he’s howling like an animal while holding the dog out the window.

“And everyone in the car – I’ll never forget it – everyone just froze. No one did anything.

“I too was torn as to what I should do because I didn’t want to do anything to cause him to react and drop the dog.

“It was just this eerie moment where he was howling and holding this animal out the window… and I have this eerie memory of no one really reacting to him.”
