Bud Light has hit back after Dylan Mulvaney has accused the company of not supporting her.
The social media influencer, 26, is an extremely popular personality – with over 10 million followers on TikTok.
She is known to use her platform to detail her gender transition as well as her viral series called ‘Days of Girlhood’, which involves her taking her fans on a daily journey of being a woman.
Mulvaney was recently subject to a huge wave of backlash after announcing a collaboration with the alcohol brand Bud Light.

In April of this year, the influencer teamed up with Bud Light to promote the college basketball tournament March Madness – where customers had the chance to win up to $15,000.
She announced the partnership in an Instagram video where she was dressed as the late actress Audrey Hepburn.

Rock star Kid Rock filmed himself shooting cases of Bud Light before announcing that he was boycotting the beer.
While the Washington Post reported how some outlets often mentioned Mulvaney in ‘disregarding and transphobic terms’ following the announcement.
Although she received a ton of hate online, the TikTok star has claimed that the brand never reached out to her during this difficult period.
Speaking to her 1.8 million followers on Instagram – which has the caption ‘Trans people like beer too’ – she explains: “I was waiting for the brand to reach out to me, but they never did. I’ve been scared to leave my house.
“I’ve been ridiculed in public, I’ve been followed, and I have felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

“I’m not telling you this because I want your pity, I am telling you this because if this is my experience from a very privileged perspective, know that it is much much worse for other trans people.
“For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all.”
Bud Light issued a statement on the same day as Mulvaney’s post.
Anheuser Busch – the company that owns Bud Light – tells The Daily Beast that the company remains ‘committed to the programs and partnerships we have forged over decades with organisations across a number of communities, including those in the LGBTQ+ community’.

“As we move forward, we will focus on what we do best – brewing great beer for everyone and earning our place in moments that matter to our consumers.”
