TikTok and Instagram star Mia Khalifa has officially launched her own fashion jewellery business but has already been forced to defend it.

Khalifa has made her biggest move yet into the fashion world and officially unveiled her very own jewellery business, Sheytan.

A collection of sultry pieces, the former adult star has included everything in her new brand, which is sure to add to her astonishing net worth, from necklaces, rings, bracelets and of course, body jewellery.

However, while Khalifa – who has a huge following on her social media platforms such as TikTok – is incredibly proud of her work, she’s found she’s already had to defend her brand.

Acknowledging it would be difficult to step away completely from her working history, the 30-year-old has found it seems to be her ethnic background that has caused such uproar around Sheytan.

Promoting her new line on social media, with a racy video of her in a blue bath, many fans were left unimpressed she had chosen a name that translates to ‘devil’ in her native language, Arabic.

An upset fan wrote: “Why is it now a normal to glorify the devil and evil in general?”

Another read: “Very nice but Sheytan really?”

Instantly defending her brand, Khalifa jumped on TikTok and mimed along to Nick Minaj and the lyrics that her critics were ‘obsessed and sick’. She also wrote: “Arabs losing their mind over naming my jewellery brand ‘Diabla’ in Arabic.”

However, despite the backlash, Khalifa’s brand has already gained more than 17,000 followers on Instagram and has course received much praise from her loyal fan base.

One happy shopper says: “I’m so obsessed.”

Another one agreed, writing: “Overall – Stunning, Amazing, Immaculate vibes for @sheytan.world and I can’t wait to see what the future brings. CONGRATULATIONS.”

Before launching her jewellery business, Kjalifa anticipated the backlash and simply told her followers to not buy it if they were offended.

She said on TikTok: “I haven’t even announced what it is yet, so I can’t say too much, but simply keep your money. I don’t need it.”
