Tom Hanks has been branded ‘annoying’ by viewers during his recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show.
The iconic actor, 66, is well known for his roles in award-winning films such as Toy Story, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Philadelphia and The Green Mile.
He also has a reputation for being ‘the nicest guy in Hollywood’.

The actor was a guest on The Graham Norton Show on December 16, alongside Naomi Ackie, Suranne Jones and Richard Osman.
The Elvis star appeared on the show to promote his upcoming film, A Man Called Otto, which sees him play a 60-year-old widow who forms an unlikely friendship with his lively neighbours.

The movie will also feature his son, Truman, playing a younger version of the character.
Despite having a role in the movie, Hanks told Norton that he warned his son to use his last name as a free pass in the film.
The Big actor explained: “Truman plays my character’s younger self, but he’s not the actor in the family – he’s an artist and is going to be a cinematographer.
“We talked about it a lot and it was all his choice, but I said to him, ‘No matter what your last name is, you are going to have to hit the marks.”
He was then asked by Norton what it was like for him to release his inner ‘grouch’ in the movie, to which Hanks responded that it was ‘fantastic’.
The Toy Story star then proceeded to explain that he has two sides that only his family see, which is when Hanks starts to ‘boil’.

He then proceeded to demonstrate to Norton and the other guests how he acts.
While the guests and audience were laughing at Hanks’ actions and movements, some viewers at home thought differently.
“Tom Hanks is really annoying and overbearing,” commented one person on social media.
Another viewer added: “Tom Hanks is a very annoying man. Talented but annoying…”
A third said: “What is wrong with Tom on this show? He is so hyper it’s cringy.”
“I LOVE Tom Hanks as an actor, he’s in a lot of my favourite films but he’s deffo a ‘I’m the main character’ person,” expressed another person.
A fifth commented: “I was just watching this on BBC One and had to leave just so I could vent my frustration at how Tom literally took over the show.
“[He] put the other guests down multiple times, especially Osman and cut Graham off too. I wanted to watch The Graham Norton Show, not The Tom Hanks, rude.”

“He’s an absolute legend,” expressed a third.
Someone else said: “I always knew the nice guy was an act.”
