Stranger Things actor David Harbour has revealed how he met his famous wife.

For those that don’t know, the 47-year-old is married to British pop star Lily Allen. The pair got together in 2019 and tied the knot a year later in Las Vegas at the Graceland Wedding Chapel, where they were registered by an Elvis impersonator.

In an interview with GQ Hype, Harbour has now given details to the magazine about the early days of their relationship and opened up about how they met on the exclusive dating app Raya.

He elaborated: “I was in London alone, doing Black Widow, on this app, going on dates and stuff. And yeah, I started texting with her, she was in Italy at the time – we got together, went on a date at the Wolseley, and it was, you know, she’s f***ing unbelievable.”

The Raya dating app has become notorious with the fact that so many celebrities have used it, including Ben Affleck, Demi Lovato, and Channing Tatum.

When asked the moment they knew they loved each other, he explained: “She claims to have fallen in love at first sight with me – I mean, who wouldn’t?

“I remember the exact moment. It was our third date. I was just in this phase, where I was like, I’m just going to be brutally honest about everything, because why lie? And I told her something about my life, about my beliefs.

“It would take a really extraordinary person to be accepting of the things that I said. And I remember thinking: Wow, that’s somebody I want to be around.”

Since getting married, Harbour has become the step-dad to Allen’s children, Marnie and Ethel, which he told The Times was the ‘hardest thing’ he has ever done but described their relationship as ‘really special’.
