Gabby Petito’s death has been ruled as a homicide by a coroner in Wyoming.

The 22-year-old YouTuber’s body was found in Bridger-Teton National Forest on Sunday, weeks after she vanished while travelling with her fiancé Brian Laundrie.

In a statement, the FBI Denver division said: “Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999.

“Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide.

“The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.”

The statement went on to say that their ‘commitment to justice’ is at the forefront of every investigation and they remain dedicated to holding anyone ‘responsible or complicit’ in Petito’s death ‘accountable for their actions.’

Michael Schneider, the special agent in charge of this case, also said: “Brian Laundrie has been named as a person of interest.

“Anyone with information concerning Mr Laundrie’s role in this matter or his current whereabouts should contact the FBI.”

Petito was last seen in the park where her body was found at the end of August. The vlogger was documenting a road trip and her videos have racked up millions of views on the platform.

After refusing to cooperate with police investigations, her partner went missing last week. His family told investigators he had gone hiking in Florida and not returned.

A four-day search was carried out of the Charlton Reserve area of Florida, where he said he was going, and also of the Laundrie’s family home. However, he is yet to be located.
