Gary Barlow has been mocked by his fans online after sharing a new advert that contains a ‘fail’.

It all started when the Take That singer posted the clip on Twitter, alongside the caption: “Did anybody guess correctly? I’ve been very excited to share this project with you all… My most memorable evenings are spent with good friends and family.

“They are full of laughter and, of course, great wine. So, I’m thrilled to announce that @GaryBarlowWines is here.”

In the video, Barlow is shown sitting at a table and holding up a glass before he ‘writes’ some tasting notes. But many viewers noticed that the pen nib hadn’t actually been pressed, meaning the pen wouldn’t work.

Sharing a close-up shot of the pen, one person wrote: “Pen doesn’t work.”

Another added: “What’s your favourite number of Buckfast Gary? Mine is a 23. Smoky and earthy but with a real lingering vigour.”

“Gary Barlow announcing Gary Barlow Wines with a photo of Gary Barlow holding up some Gary Barlow wine whilst writing notes about Gary Barlow wine is the most Gary Barlow thing ever,” a third quipped.

Other fans couldn’t contain their excitement to try out the new wine.

One Twitter user commented: “Fab, can’t wait to try. And hopefully, in the supermarket I work at, I’m on the front row.”

Another fan gushed: “That head of yours Gary does not stop creating you are inexhaustible congrats!!! As a Spaniard and a drinker of good wine, I have no doubt that yours, Gary, will be wonderful! Looking forward to tasting that wine!”
