The reason Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose, ‘shunned’ her dad’s wedding to ex-wife Amber Heard has been revealed.
It has come out in the defamation trial that the model didn’t attend their nuptials because she wasn’t on ‘great terms’ with the Aquaman star.
Depp told the court on April 20: “My daughter Lily-Rose did not come to the wedding.

“She and Ms Heard were not on particularly great terms, for several reasons.”
The actor went on to describe his wedding to Heard, claiming it revolved around ‘dinner, dancing and drugs’.
The former couple first met on the set of The Rum Diary back in 2009. Later on, in 2014, the actress was spotted wearing an engagement ring at her film premiere for 3 Days To Kill. Depp and Heard tied the knot the following year, at their Los Angeles home. It’s believed that family and close friends attended the day.
In 2016, Heard’s first allegations against Depp came out and in 2017, their divorce was finalised.
Around the time the claims were made, Lily-Rose took to Instagram and described her dad as ‘the sweetest, most loving person I know, he’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I’.

The model’s mum, Vanessa Paradis, went on to state in 2020: “Through all these years I’ve known Johnny to be a kind, attentive, generous and non-violent person and father. On movie sets the actors, directors and entire crews adore him because he is humble and respectful to everyone, as well as being one of the best actors we’ve seen.”
She continued: “I am aware of the allegations which Amber Heard has publicly accused Johnny of for more than four years now. This is nothing like the true Johnny I have known, and from my personal experience of many years, I can say he was never violent or abusive to me.”
Depp was in a relationship with Paradis from 1998 to 2012. As well as Lily-Rose, they also share a son named Jack.
