Johnny Depp’s Business Manager Discloses Star’s Financial ‘Issues’

Johnny Depp’s business manager has disclosed the star’s financial ‘issues’ he faced when divorcing Amber Heard. 

Ed White testified in the actor’s defamation trial against his ex-wife and claimed he called Depp to discuss the matter on the night of the alleged attack that supposedly ‘ended’ his marriage.

The business manager reportedly said: “I felt it was appropriate to meet with Mr Depp… to resolve the issues he was confronting.”

He added that Depp was ‘was given the news that he needed to address, a number of financial issues,’ and that they came up with a ‘strategy’ that involved selling assets and reducing spending.

When asked how the 58-year-old’s finances looked at the time, White described them as ‘challenging’.

Apparently, one of the matters which were discussed was an outstanding bill of $160,000 at a Los Angeles wine store, called Twenty Twenty Wine Merchants.

The adviser claimed that since the Pirates of the Caribbean star had separated from Heard, the bill has shrunk to ‘basically zero,’ blaming most of the amount owed on her ‘affinity for a $500 bottle’.

White alleged: “His wine bill has shrunk to virtually zero because he does not continue to consume much in the way of wine.”

It’s believed Heard will have her say on the former couple’s marriage in the coming days, as Deadline reports that she could testify ‘from May 2’.

A source reportedly told the outlet: “It’s hard to see how Amber won’t prove to be a highly effective weapon against Depp in her own advocacy.

“Regardless of how they have tried to characterise her, she has been nothing but well composed and pretty conservative in court without having said a word.”
