Julia Fox has revealed the real reason why she dated Kanye West.

The ‘Gold Digger’ rapper, who now goes by ‘Ye’, was married to Kim Kardashian for six years and they share four kids together.

The A-listers separated in 2021 after the SKIMS owner filed for divorce from West.

Since separating, the pair have both been on the dating scene, with Kim having recently dated comedian Pete Davidson, who is known for seeing the most desirable women in Hollywood.

While West has had a short but highly publicised romance with Uncut Gems star Julia Fox.

West and Fox were spotted together at a New Year’s Eve 2021 party and it was confirmed that they were dating by January 2022.

After a number of public appearances and posts on Instagram, the actress announced they had split on February 14, 2022, but a rep told E! News they have remained ‘good friends’.

Since her relationship with West has come to an end, Fox has kept largely quiet about it, but now she has finally addressed their whirlwind romance.

The model has claimed that she dated West in the hope that it would stop him from harassing the Kardashian.

She made the comment when responding to a TikToker, who said: “I just wish you weren’t dating a famously violent misogynist and antisemite.”

Fox replied: “First of all, the man was being normal around me.”

She then spoke about her love for the Kardashian family, revealing how they supported her when she launched her own fashion label 10 years ago.

Fox then addressed West’s behaviour when they first got together, stating how she wasn’t interested in dating a celebrity because they are ‘not what you thought they were going to be’.

She continued: “By the time me and him got together, he hadn’t been doing anything out there yet.

“The only thing he had done was change the name in the song [to] ‘Come back to me Kimberly’. That was really the only thing when we met.

“He was texting me and I wasn’t really answering and I was like I don’t really want to talk to a celebrity again.”

She then mentioned how West was persistent with his texting and even said how Fox had ‘bad text etiquette’, which led to her stressing because ‘Kanye was yelling’ at her.

The Uncut Gems star then revealed what made her change her mind.

Fox said: “But then I had this thought, maybe I can get him off of Kim’s case.

“Maybe I can distract him, like, just get him to like me.”

She then defended West by saying that during their short relationship, the ‘All of the Lights’ singer was never on any forms on social media and never addressed his previous marriage.

However, Fox said the moment he started tweeting about Kardashian, she was ‘out’ of the relationship.

She added: “The moment he started tweeting, I was out.

“The media reported on our relationship a week after it happened or something, so during that week I think you guys thought that we were together, but we weren’t.

“I’d already been like, ‘Dude, I’m not gonna stick around for this shit’. And also, I realised pretty quickly that he wasn’t gonna take my help. I was like, ‘I wanna help him, I wanna help him’.

“I was delusional, I thought I could help him.

“Anyway, didn’t work, and now we’re here.”

She ended her post by saying that despite everything that happened between the pair, she respects ‘Ye, as an artist’, but she stands with the Jewish community.
