The ‘Dark Horse’ singer said she found out ‘the real truth’ about Russell Brand following their divorce.
Brand, 48, has found himself in the headlines after a joint investigation conducted by Channel 4, The Times and The Sunday Times.
Four women – whose identities have remained anonymous – have come forward and alleged that the comedian assaulted them between 2006 and 2013.
Brand has denied all of the allegations made against him.
One of the women claims she was just 16 years old when her alleged assault took place – when the TV personality was 31.
Another woman has come forward and alleged that Brand emotionally and physically abused her.
A third has alleged that she was threatened with legal action, having allegedly been assaulted while she worked with him.
The fourth woman to put forward a claim has also alleged that she was assaulted by Brand – who allegedly r***d her at his home in Los Angeles.
The investigation has reportedly been going on for several years, with journalists having access to texts and medical notes, as well as examining Brand’s biography.

Brand’s ex-wife, Katy Perry – who is now engaged to British actor Orlando Bloom – has remained silent on the claims so far.
The former couple first met in 2009 when the ‘Roar’ singer filmed a cameo in his movie Get Him To The Greek and they then began dating shortly after.
The comedian and pop star were engaged by the end of the year and tied the knot in 2010.
However, on December 30, 2011, Brand filed for divorce from Perry – with it being finalised in July 2012.
Following her divorce, the ‘Fireworks’ singer spoke to Vogue magazine in 2013 and said that she had found out the ‘real truth’ about her ex-husband.
“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” she told the outlet at the time.
“Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me [on] December 31, 2011.
“I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can’t necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day.
“I let go and I was like: This isn’t because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that.”
Perry has yet to reveal what the ‘truth’ was.
Elsewhere in her interview with Vogue, Perry claimed that her former spouse was ‘very controlling’, and that he had reportedly become uncomfortable with her touring.
The ‘California Gurls’ artist explained: “At first, when I met him, he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they’re like, ‘I can’t handle the equalness’.”
Brand has denied all the allegations made against him and he took to YouTube on September 15 – before the allegations were made public – and slammed them as ‘aggressive attacks’.

Speaking on his channel in a video titled So, This Is Happening, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor said all of his relationships were ‘absolutely, always consensual’.
He stated: “Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute.
“These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time when I was in the movies, and as I’ve written about extensively in my books I was very, very promiscuous.”
