Kylie Jenner has lost a million Instagram followers after ‘mocking’ Selena Gomez.
The 25-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder is one of the most recognised celebrities in the world and until recently, she was the most followed female on Instagram.
However, her title has now been taken over by singer and actress Gomez, 30, amid a ton of social media drama between the two.

It all started when the Only Murders in the Building star took to TikTok and said she’d accidentally laminated her eyebrows too much.
Not long after, Jenner took to Instagram and shared two stories.
The first was of her face, alongside the text: “Was this an accident?”
While the other was a screenshot of her and model Hailey Bieber’s eyebrows during a FaceTime call.
After seeing the two stories, many of Gomez’s fans rushed to social media and insisted that the pair had been making a dig at the ‘Wolves’ singer.
This also led to them being called the ‘mean girls’ of Instagram.
Claims that the post was intentional are gaining further interest due to Hailey’s involvement, as she is the wife of pop star Justin Bieber – who is Gomez’s ex-boyfriend.
Gomez and Bieber, 28, dated on and off for several years, starting in 2011.
The ‘Peaches’ singer then tied the knot to Stephen Baldwin’s daughter in 2018.
Following the allegations, The Kardashians star has taken to social media and insisted that everyone is ‘reaching’.

Addressing the backlash, Jenner says: “This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! U guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly.”
Surprisingly, Gomez then weighed in on the drama and replied to Jenner, writing: “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
Despite the ‘Calm Down’ singer slamming all the speculation, fans aren’t having it and it’s now showing in their Instagram followings.
Jenner’s following has gone from 380 million to 379 million followers, while Gomez has taken Instagram’s female top spot with 388 million.
Although the majority of people are in Gomez’s favour, it appears as though all the drama has been too much for the ‘Calm Down’ singer.

The 30-year-old announced that she would temporarily be taking a break from social media.
Gomez explained: “I’m going to be taking a second from social media because this is a little silly.
“I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later.
“I’m just gonna take a break from everything.”
