Naughty Boy’s heartbreaking reason for signing up to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here has been revealed by his niece.
Aisha Shaban told New magazine that her uncle ‘hopes to raise awareness about dementia’ after becoming the primary carer for his mother, Zahida, who suffers from the condition.
Before entering the castle, the singer and producer, whose real name is Shahid Khan, told The Mirror how he took a step back from his career to look after her.

He said: “It’s important to have priorities.
“I wanted mum to feel like she was my priority. For two years I pushed the album aside and I’m glad I did that.”
The star, who became an ambassador for Dementia UK in August 2020, added that the show was ‘a huge opportunity for him to showcase everything he does’ and ‘help everyone see the real him’.
In 2017, Zahida was reportedly put into a coma after suffering a stroke and ‘hasn’t been the same’ since waking up.

The heartbreaking reason has been revealed at a time when viewers are saying they’re ‘annoyed’ over the music producer’s ‘special treatment’ on the programme.
Some have claimed it’s ‘obvious’ he managed to get in a sneaky haircut when filming was axed due to damage caused to the set by Storm Arwen.
Taking to Twitter, one person tweeted: “How’s Naughty Boy’s hair so perfect when the others look so rough?”
“Okay but has anyone noticed that Naughty Boy had gel in his hair?” added another.
A third person chipped in, saying: “My brother asked me if they’re allowed any hair or makeup stuff in there and I said no, and he was like well how is Naughty Boy’s hair styled like that?
“And now I’m annoyed like.”
