Influencer and campaigner Nicky Newman has tragically died aged 35.

Newman, from Surrey, previously worked as a finance admin and she went on to have a huge social media following.

She had a staggering 324,000 Instagram followers – including a few famous faces.

Sadly, it has been confirmed by Newman’s husband Alex that she has passed away.

Newman was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 after finding a lump in her right breast while showering.

Devastatingly in the same week, the influencer suffered a miscarriage and was told she had metastatic breast cancer.

Heartbreakingly, Newman was then told her cancer had already spread and was incurable.

Despite this, the content creator continued to live life to the full and document her treatment.

Following her diagnosis, Newman’s motto was ‘grab life’ – which is exactly what she did.

She made sure to travel the world and see exotic destinations with her family and friends, married the love of her life Alex and made sure to celebrate each milestone.

Newman also raised awareness for organisations such as The Little Princess Trust, when she shaved her head after starting chemo so the hair could be donated to make a wig for a child with cancer.

Newman’s death was announced via an Instagram post which had been written prior to her passing.

It read: “If you’re reading this it means I have died, I made it 5 and half years though, not bad for a stage 4 breastie ey.

“And none of this ‘she fought her battle nonsense’, I didn’t lose anything, the cancer eventually took over and that’s OK, we all knew this would happen.”

Newman went on to encourage her followers ‘to cherish those around you and give your friends and loved ones the biggest squeezes’.

She continued: “You have all become a part of my legacy, my Instagramily in Mr.G’s words and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here every step of the way.

“I’m a believer in energies and if people hold on to the positive energy we have created from this and other pages like it, then I will always be with you.”

People have taken to the comments to pay tribute, with reality star Stacey Solomon writing: “Nick. I love you. So grateful I got to meet and know you. Promise to grab life every single day.”

Journalist Danae Mercer Ricci says: “You’ve made such an impact on so many. Until we meet again dear friend.”

A third person comments: “You were a remarkable woman who will live alongside many of us forever.”

“Your soul will live on sweetheart! You have inspired so many people!” adds a fourth.

Someone else pens: “Heartbroken to read this Nicky, you were just an incredible woman. Love and thoughts to your family x.”

Following Newman’s death, her husband shared a statement on her Instagram, calling her his ‘lobster’, while also encouraging their followers to ‘grab life’.

It reads: “What can I say that my incredible wife hasn’t already in her final post. Nicky asked me to send her message out, along with a few words from me.

“My bean was more than a partner or loved one to me, she truly was my lobster. We have known each other since we were 14 and throughout all the years (even when we had time apart) we were always inextricably drawn to each other.

“Anyone that knew my wife knows this to be true. Nicky never accepted half-measures, she took life with both hands and made each moment special and memorable.

“She has created a legacy here, a place where anyone can see that life is for positivity and smiles and happiness. Even through hardship…even if it seems impossible.”
