Shane Warne, whose heartbreaking final tweet has been revealed, reportedly completed an extreme ’14-day diet’ prior to his death on March 4.

The Australian cricketer’s manager, James Erskine, has claimed that the 52-year-old was on a liquid-only cleanse.

He is believed to have told Weekend TODAY: “It was a bit all or nothing. It was either white buns with butter and lasagne stuffed in the middle, or he would be having black and green juices.

“He obviously smoked most of his life [but] I don’t know, I think it was just a massive heart attack. That’s what I think has happened.”

At the time of his passing, he was holidaying in Ko Samui, Thailand, along with friends.

One of which happened to be championship-winning poker player Tom Hall, who reportedly told Sporting News about the star’s ‘last meal’.

He apparently said: “I have dined with Shane in many fine establishments, but rather than sample some of the local Thai fare, we tuck into a plate of Vegemite on toast.

“An Australian through and through – this was to turn out to be his last meal.”

Before his death, Warne took to social media and revealed to his followers that he was on ‘operation shred’.

He said: “Operation shred has started (10 days in) and the goal by July is to get back to this shape from a few years ago! Let’s go.”

The sportsman’s autopsy report supposedly claims that Warne died from a ‘natural’ cause.

Kissana Phathanacharoen, the deputy national police spokesman, apparently said: “Today investigators received the autopsy result, in which the medical opinion is that the cause of death is natural.

“Investigators will summarise the autopsy result for prosecutors within the timeframe of the law.”
