Disney fans are slamming the ‘woke’ decision to axe the seven dwarfs from its upcoming Snow White remake following actor Peter Dinklage’s comments.
People are taking to Twitter and arguing that the adaption is going ‘too liberal’ by replacing the dwarves with ‘mythical creatures’.
Fuming, one person penned: “With all due respect to a fine actor [Peter Dinklage], mythological dwarves, like those in Lord of the Rings, are not the same thing as actual humans with dwarfism.”

Others raged about the fact Latino actress Rachel Zegler has been cast to play the iconic princess.
One commented: “My problem with this ‘progressive’ Snow White remake is the casting of a Latina just to score internet points. The character’s skin is ‘white as snow;’ hence the name.
“[Also,] Peter Dinklage’s issue with the dwarfs – FYI they don’t live in a cave, they work in a cave. They are miners!”
“So, they are going to remake Snow White but there won’t be seven dwarves because full height people have decided that it would be offensive to dwarves in the movie,” a third wrote. “Thanks to liberalism, seven acting jobs just went out of the window for height-challenged people.”

The backlash mainly started when Dinklage appeared on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast and said the adaption seemed ‘f***ing backwards’.
He explained: “No offence to anything but I was a little taken aback by… they were very proud to cast a Latino actress as Snow White, but you’re still telling the story of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.”
He added: “Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me.
“You’re progressive in one way but you’re still making that f***ing backward story of seven dwarves living in the cave.
“What the f*** are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”
