Taylor Swift has been slammed on social media after she apparently ‘blanked’ Celine Dion while on stage at the Grammys.
The ‘Shake It Off’ singer, 34, is one of the best-selling musicians of all time, having sold over 200 million records.
Throughout her career, Swift has won numerous accolades, including 14 Grammys, a Primetime Emmy Award and a staggering 40 Billboard Music Awards.
This year, the ‘Cruel Summer’ artist made history when she snatched the Album of the Year award for the fourth time.
Previously, she had been tied for three best albums along with legends like Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and Frank Sinatra.

In a rare turn of events, the awards ceremony was dominated by women – with Swift, SZA, Miley Cyrus, and Billie Eilish all taking home the top prizes.
When it came to Swift accepting one of the biggest honours of the night for her latest album, ‘Midnight’, she shared with fans how happy she is with her career.
“All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy,” she declared.
The ‘Blank Space’ singer then revealed that she has no plans to stop anytime soon, as she’s already working on her next album, ‘The Tortured Poets Society’.
However, this isn’t what has got people talking on social media.
Swift apparently ‘blanked’ Dion at the Grammys, who made a shock appearance at the music event amidst her heartbreaking health battle.
The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer, 55, disclosed in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with an extremely rare disorder called stiff person syndrome (SPS).
SPS is a neurological disorder whose symptoms include stiff muscles in the arms and legs, as well as a greater sensitivity to noise, touch and emotional distress, which can set off spasms, as per the National Institutes of Health.
Dion’s sister, Claudette, told 7 Jours (via Daily Mail) that the artist no longer has control over her muscles.
“She’s working hard, but she doesn’t have control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined,” the singer’s sibling shared.
“She’s always worked hard. Our mother always told her, ‘You’re going to do it well, you’re going to do it properly’.”

So when Dion walked the stage at the Grammys, fans were left pleasantly surprised to see the star looking well.
Before giving out the gong to Swift, the ‘I’m Alive’ artist received an overwhelming reception from the audience.
“When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart,” Dion told the Grammys crowd.
When the singer announced that Swift had won the award, those watching at home were not impressed with the way the star conducted herself when on stage.
Swift was accompanied by Lana Del Rey and producer Jack Antonoff when accepting the award, and fans were left outraged when she seemingly didn’t acknowledge Dion or make eye contact with the legendary artist.

Shortly after, X (formerly known as Twitter) was flooded with tweets criticising Swift, with one person tweeting: “Celine probably made an enormous effort to come to the Grammys, a place she [is] highly respected with her unknown health concerns, to only be disrespected.”
Another adds: “Taylor Swift completely ignoring Celine Dion like she was some trophy model presenter at [the] Grammys was wild. She’s won this three times and [is] usually such a pro. But to ignore an icon, who is dealing with so much? Yikes.”
While a third person writes: “Taylor Swift just took the Album of the Year trophy from Celine Dion without batting an eye and/or acknowledging that a legend was handing her the award. So cringey for my soul.”
But of course, Swifties have also taken to the platform and defended the 34-year-old.
“What’s cringe is always looking for a reason to take the moment away from her,” one fumes. “Get over it, please.”
In agreement, another says: ” I dunno. I think it’s kinda overblown. When Celine was introduced Taylor was on her feet clapping and singing. She just freaked out a bit when she won. I don’t think she intended disrespect.”
Sharing a snap of the pair hugging shortly after Swift collected her award, somebody else comments: “She didn’t ignore her! They are happy and chilling.”
