Tiger Woods has ‘rejected an offer of $800million to join LIV Golf,’ as confirmed by the tournament commissioner.
Speaking on Fox News with Tucker Carlson, Greg Norman told the host: “That number was out there before I became CEO. So that number has been out there, yes.
“And, look, Tiger is a needle-mover and of course, you have to look at the best of the best. So they had originally approached Tiger before I became CEO. So, yes, that number was somewhere in that neighbourhood.”

The Saudi-Arabia-funded tournament has been viewed as controversial in the eyes of golf fans due to the country’s strict Human Rights laws.
Players who have signed up for the multi-million dollar tour have refused to acknowledge this, which has caused even more outroar in the golf community.
Woods has previously spoken out against the tournament, by stating: “I think that what they’ve done is they’ve turned their back on what has allowed them to get to this position.

“Some of these players may not ever get a chance to play in major championships. That is a possibility. We don’t know that for sure yet. It’s up to all the major championship bodies to make that determination.”
Golf icons such as Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Bubba Watson have signed up and already played on the LIV tour, where they play for prize money of around $25million per tournament.
When asked why so many people oppose the newly formed championship, Norman responded that he ‘[doesn’t] know,’ but added: “I really don’t care.”
He continued: “I just love the game so much and I want to grow the game of golf and we at LIV see that opportunity not just for the men but for the women.”
