A woman scribbled down a chilling message after being ‘dead’ for 30 minutes.

One of the biggest unanswered questions in life is what happens after we die.

Some believe you’re sent to heaven or hell, some talk about seeing light at the end of a tunnel, while others think your soul is reincarnated.

Now, one woman might have given us our best answer to date.

Tina Hines, from Arizona, US, suffered a cardiac arrest and briefly ‘died’ as her husband Brian tried to save her.

On her way to the hospital, she was revived six times by medics but was ‘dead’ for around 27 minutes in total.

She was then placed into a coma and Brian was informed that she would likely suffer brain injuries as a result of the trauma. However, just one day later, her vitals returned to normal and she was woken up.

Hines immediately asked for a pen and paper to scribble down an ominous message for her family.

In a note that was hard to read, she wrote the words: “It’s real.”

She was then asked what was real and she nodded upward towards the sky.

Speaking to the Christian Broadcast Network, Brian recalls: “We figured out that she wrote I-T-S-R-E-A-L. ‘What’s it’s real?’. And I go, ‘The pain? The hospital?’.

“She’s slowly nodding her head. Eyes are closed. She’s fully vented. She’s moving all this. No, and then my daughter goes, ‘Heaven?’. And she nods yes.”

Hines adds: “I just wanted to share that I saw Jesus face to face and the unbelievable rest and peacefulness of what I was experiencing was Jesus standing there with his arms open wide.

“And right behind Jesus, standing there, was this incredible glow. It was the most vibrant and beautiful yellow.”

Hines was discharged from the hospital just four days after her heart attack.

She did not suffer any lasting brain damage. Her only injuries were a cracked sternum and ribs as a result of CPR.

Nowadays, Hines is fit and healthy and showing no side effects from her near-death experience.

She tells the Christian Broadcast Network: “God is real in my life. Jesus is real. Heaven is real. I know that God can use every situation to make us who we are in Christ.”

While her story may seem difficult to believe for some, Hines’ experience resembles something researchers discovered at the University of Michigan in 2013.

After conducting a study on rats, they discovered that a surge of activity in the brain just before death is higher than during the most awake, conscious state.

Dr Jimo Borjigin, the leader of the study, said: “A lot of people thought that the brain after clinical death was inactive or hypoactive, with less activity than the waking state, and we show that is definitely not the case.

“If anything, it is much more active during the dying process than even the waking state.”

People close to death tend to say they endure powerful experiences, such as going through an overwhelming feeling of peace and serenity.

This might well be exactly what Hines describes.
