Adriana Chechik has broken her back in a freak accident at Twitchcon shortly after announcing that she’s retiring from being an adult star.
The 30-year-old Twitch streamer injured herself by leaping into a foam pit at the San Diego event on October 8.
Chechik took to Twitter the following day and said: “Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today.
“Send your support. When it rains, it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.”

The tweet has received more than 70,000 likes at the time of writing.
Footage of the incident has gone viral on social media and shows Chechik calling out that she ‘can’t get up’.
BuzzFeed News reports that others were injured in the same pit in which the foam pieces ‘felt somewhat squishy but still rather firm’.
The outlet, which sent a reporter to the event, estimated that it was less than two feet deep, with a mat underneath the foam, covering the convention centre’s concrete floor.
When people asked Chechik why she jumped into the foam pit, she responded: “Don’t try and turn me into the bad guy. I am among all those who assumed it was met with proper safe precautions. I’m not at fault.”
The adult star also discussed having surgery to fix the injury, admitting she was ‘terrified’ to go under the knife, but she then added that she’d ‘rather die’ than let the pain continue.
In a post-surgery update, Chechik said: “Surgery went well, five hours and 30 minutes!
“More fusions than expected, bones completely crushed and nerve damage to my bladder, hopefully, I’ll be able to pee again in the near future.
“I’m [in] a lot of pain but feeling hopeful and ready to bring the heat to walk again!”

Fellow adult stars took to social media and sent Chechik well-wishes.
Riley Reid said: “Oh my gosh… I’m so sorry to hear that angel!!! Sending you love and a fast recovery.”
While Brandi Love added: “I am still in shock hearing about this. I’m so sorry darling.
“You’re in my thoughts and prayers.”
Later on, Chechik informed her Instagram followers that she’d be undergoing a second surgery.
She tweeted, alongside a video: “Today was so hard, I WALKED.
“I passed out after I brushed my teeth and had to be carried back but baby got her dancing shoes.
“It was so exhausting. I have slept all day since.”
