Adriana Chechik has broken her back in a freak accident at TwitchCon shortly after announcing she was quitting the adult film industry.
The 30-year-old Twitch streamer, who recently opened up about leaving her former career, injured herself leaping into a foam pit at the San Diego event.
Chechik revealed on Twitter that she had suffered a terrible injury at the gaming convention on October 9.

Writing on Twitter, she said: “Well, I broke my back in two places and I am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today.
“Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.”
At the time of writing, the tweet has been liked more than 70,000 times.
Video footage of the incident showed her calling out that she ‘can’t get up’ before an event announcer called for a medic.

According to BuzzFeed News, others have reported being injured in the same pit, in which the foam pieces ‘felt somewhat squishy but still rather firm’.
The outlet, which sent a reporter to visit the pit, estimated that it was less than two feet deep, with a mat underneath the foam covering the convention centre’s concrete floor.
Addressing those who asked her why she jumped, Chechik said: “Don’t try and turn me into the bad guy. I am among all those who assumed it was met with proper safety precautions.
“I’m not at fault.”
Chechik said that she had been ‘terrified’ about going under the knife, but would ‘rather die’ than have the pain continue.
Updating fans post-surgery on Wednesday, she said: “Surgery went well, five hours and 30 minutes!
“More fusions than expected, bones completely crushed and nerve damage to my bladder, hopefully, I’ll be able to pee again in the near future.
“I’m [in] a lot of pain but feeling hopeful and ready to bring the heat to walk again!”
Fans and former peers sent well-wishes to Chechik as she now begins her long road to recovery.
Fellow adult star, Brandi Love, wrote: “I am still in shock hearing about this. I’m so sorry darling.
“You’re in my thoughts and prayers.”

While Riley Reid tweeted: “Oh my gosh… I’m so sorry to hear that angel!! Sending you love and a fast recovery.”
One person said: “Oh my god! How did that happen? Sending love to you for a speedy recovery.”
Another offered some advice: “Never jump off something straight to your butt.
“It compresses your spine and this happens. The best thing to do on a fall, flat on ur back!”
She later told her Instagram followers that she was set to undergo a second surgery on Friday.
In her latest update on Friday, Chechik tweeted alongside a video: “Today was so hard, I WALKED.
“I passed out after I brushed my teeth and had to be carried back but baby got her dancing shoes.
“It was so exhausting. I have slept all day since.”
