Cameron Diaz Ignores One Basic Rule Of Human Hygiene
Cameron Diaz has admitted that she ignores one of the most basic rules of human hygiene.
Diaz, 51, is one of the highest-grossing actresses and has appeared in films such as The Holiday, There’s Something About Mary and The Mask.
She’s also known for her stunning looks and ageless appearance.
But since unofficially leaving Hollywood behind, she’s revealed that her beauty routine has undergone quite a change.

Diaz sat down with Drag Race star Michelle Visage for her BBC podcast Rule Breakers and shared that she’s not so high maintenance anymore.
She joked: “The last eight years, girl – I’m like wild. I’m like a wild animal, like a beast!”
Elsewhere in their chat, Diaz said that while in the world of showbiz, she would often find that she would be comparing herself to others, adding it was ‘hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against other markers of beauty’.
She recalled sitting in front of the mirror every day and having makeup applied, describing it as ‘toxic’.
“You just start to pick yourself apart,” she explained. “And you’re like, ‘Why I am sitting here like being so mean to myself?’ My body’s strong, my body’s capable. Why am I going to talk down to it? Why am I going to be mean to it when it’s like carried me this far?”
But in recent years, Diaz has become much more comfortable in her skin and has found that she’s not so pressured by society’s beauty standards.
In fact, the Shrek star ‘never’ washes her face anymore.
“I literally do nothing. I like never wash my face,” she confessed. “Twice a month if I’m lucky, I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?’ Like is that all I have to do? I’m just not in that place right now like where I put any energy.”

After hearing Diaz’s skincare confession, many of her fans have taken to TikTok and admitted that they also don’t wash their face every day.
One person comments: “Ditto!! Just water… I also very rarely wear makeup.”
Another adds: “I’m the same way. I only wash my face sometimes. People can’t believe it when I tell them my age, they think I’m in my early 30s.”
Although Diaz may look fabulous despite the fact she rarely washes her face, skincare experts advise against the habit.
Not washing your face can result in breakouts due to the clog of oil, dirt and makeup in your pores, as per BeautyRx.
“Your pores will appear larger and your skin will look dull and textured, instead of having a radiant, youthful glow,” the beauty site adds.
While Dr Kikam tells the Martha Stewart website: “Cleansing our face daily prevents the buildup of dirt, which can cause bacteria overgrowth – leading to inflammation and subsequent breakouts, dryness, eczema, and premature aging.”
So there you have it, while it may not cause damage if you forget every now and then to wash your face, it’s probably not the ultimate beauty secret if you want to keep your skin ageless and smooth.
