A food blogger has taken to social media and slammed an ‘overpriced’ onion soup at a restaurant.
TikToker @feastkings shared a clip of the meal and claimed it cost him $20.
In the video, he said: “When I pay $20 at a restaurant for a soup that costs $3 to make.

“TikTok, do you overpay for food?”
Despite slamming the price, the TikTok food blogger never clarified which restaurant he was dining at.
So far, the post has accumulated a whopping 6.3million views and many people have compared the dish to ‘drain water’.
One person said: “Bro, that soup looks like sewer water.”
Another remarked: “That’s not soup, it’s drain water!”
“That looks like baked macaroni with hot water,” a third commented.
However, others took to the comments and stated that although the meal was expensive, the cost could easily be broken down and explained.

One viewer pointed out: “The cost to prepare it, the electricity, the pots to cook it, the salaries of the employees who make and serve, taxes and the suppliers.”
Backing this, a second said: “Hidden costs are staff wages and rent.”
“We all overpay for food,” a third wrote. “It’s kind of how businesses make a profit.”
Recently, famous chef Thomas Kerridge got blasted for the price of his steak at his ‘unpretentious’ restaurant.
Magazine editor Guy Woodward visited the Hand and Flowers and penned: “Website of @handfmarlow- ‘unpretentious,’ ‘proper pub,’ ‘for everyone to enjoy,’ ‘relaxed and accessible’.
