An influencer has claimed she was ‘body-shamed’ during a visit to Disneyland following an alleged ‘dress code’ violation.

The magical kingdom is often described as ‘the happiest place on earth’, with millions of people visiting the six Disney resorts yearly.

However, for one California influencer, it certainly was not a happy trip.

Laci Kay Somers, who is known for sharing racy pictures with her 12.2 million Instagram followers, shared her recent experience at Disneyland on TikTok.

In the short video, which is captioned ‘What I do tho? #fyp #disneyland #bodyshaming’, she showed off her outfit, which was a black crop top with black leggings, while she also donned a hat and sunglasses.

Text on the video claimed: “I got hit for dress code at Disneyland.”

Somers then posed for a brief second before walking off.

On Disney’s website, people can find out what is acceptable to wear at the theme park.

It is suggested that visitors wear ‘proper attire, including shoes and shirts’, which is a rule that is applied ‘at all times’.

If anyone attempts to visit the theme park wearing something that could be considered ‘inappropriate’, the site states ‘Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person’.

After seeing Somers’ video, which has accumulated more than 56,000 views, many TikTokers have taken to the comments and shared their support for the influencer.

One user said: “I feel like I’ve seen girls wearing less there, that’s odd. They’re just hating!”

Someone else commented: Whatttt… Girl you’re in workout out/normal everyday attire. Just cause you look [fire emoji] in it… Shaking my head.”

“All the women in California dress like this. How ridiculous,” added a third person.

However, some people in the comments could understand why Somers could have violated the dress code policy.

“Buy a shirt, there is a dress code… follow it or leave,” one suggested.

Another person commented: “Do people really only show up in a bra knowing there is a dress code and then proceed to get mad if someone tells em to leave?”

“That’s not body shaming. That’s their dress code being on their website and you completely disregarding it,” explained a third.

Someone else added: “Rules apply to everyone and you broke them, Disneyland is cracking down on their dress code.”
