Khloé Kardashian says her cancer scare was ‘way more serious than I understood’.
The Good American co-founder, 38, appears in the third series of The Kardashians and more than ever, she’s being honest and candid with viewers.
In a recent episode, Khloé admitted that she has struggled to ‘connect’ with her surrogate-born son and that she’s found it ‘really hard’.
And now she’s revealed that she had a tumour on her face.

In the latest instalment of the reality TV series, Khloé discovers a bump on her face – that she thought was a ‘zit’ – is melanoma.
According to the NHS website, melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body.
The typical cause of melanoma is ultraviolet light, which can come from the sun and sunbeds.
In the episode, Khloé’s mum, Kris Jenner, tells Kylie Jenner: “Khloé has a little bit of a history with melanoma and cancerous lesions, so this on her face is very concerning to me.”

Khloé then decides to have a biopsy done on her face for peace of mind.
During the episode, the mum-of-two says: “I have done one biopsy on this bump that I just assumed was a zit, turns out it’s not a zit.
“It’s melanoma and for my age, it’s incredibly rare.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Khloé tells one of her close friends, Malika Haqq, that when she woke up from the operation to rumour the tumour she had a ‘huge bandage’ on her face.
“This was way more serious than either I understood or I anticipated it to be,” she adds.
In a confessional interview, Khloé goes on to say that she’s been given the all-clear – but that things could have ended very differently.
She explains: “My doctor got the pathology report back and we got the entire tumour.
“All my margins are clear and I’m so relieved, so happy and all I have is a scar that I will figure out later and, you know, so many people aren’t as lucky and I feel really fortunate and really blessed.”

When reflecting on her recovery, Khloé tells her mum: “Not being able to eat was the worst part for me because I like to eat. That was the most annoying. I was all stitched up.
“But everything’s gone. I’m good. Everything is great. That waiting process was super not fun… now I’m on the mend.”
While Kris adds in her own confessional interview: “I know Khloe keeps all of her feelings inside and she doesn’t want anybody else to worry, but I know how worried she was.
“Khloe is such a love and the heart of the family and I’ve never prayed so hard in all my life. It’s sometimes not easy but I’m just happy it’s over.
“She got very, very lucky.”
