A model says she was left humiliated after being told to cover up on a plane.

For many, preparing to go on holiday is a stressful experience.

Once you’ve booked your hotel, bulk-bought suncream, remembered your travel documents and compiled an in-flight playlist even Annie Mac would be proud of – then comes battling the airport.

You queue for what feels like miles at every step of the way from security to the departure gate.

Then, just when you think you’ve made it, a flight attendant takes issue with your outfit.

Watch the bizarre moment a woman tries to open a plane door mid-flight below…

Isabelle Eleanore, from Australia, was travelling to Melbourne from the Gold Coast when airline staff told her that she’d have to change if she wanted to get on the plane.

She was wearing a black crop top with a pair of blue skinny jeans.

She was told her top was ‘too small’ and that she’d have to wear a high-vis jacket over the top in order to ‘cover up’.

Eleanore told 9News: “She [the flight attendant] looked at the ticket, looked up and said, ‘Oh, do you have a jumper you can wear?’.

“And here’s me thinking she must be concerned that I’m going to get cold on the flight, it’s going to be cold in Melbourne or something.

“She kept going and she was like ‘Well, you can’t fly with what you’re wearing, you can’t wear a bikini’.

“And I’m like, ‘Look, it’s not a bikini, it’s a top’.”

The flight attendant told Eleanore that she would have to find something else to wear during the flight, which is when she was presented with the hi-vis.

The model says felt ‘degraded’, ’embarrassed’ and ‘victimised’ by the incident, as ‘everyone was looking’ at her.

The airline, Jetstar, has since apologised for causing Eleanore ‘distress’, citing a ‘misunderstanding’ of the airline’s policy on the part of the air hostess.

Despite the apology, an understandably upset Eleanore took to Instagram to complain about the experience.

She tells her 198,000 followers: “So they made a huge scene when I stepped on the plane and made me wait in front of everyone while they searched for something to cover me up with.

“Then I had to walk all the way to my seat wearing this vest. This is discrimination and humiliation Jetstar Australia.”

Eleanore continues: “Apparently, my top is too small and I couldn’t fly without covering up.

“If I had small breasts I guarantee they wouldn’t have said anything.

“They forced me to put on a high-vis vest. Am I lost? Is it 1921?”
