The Sims 4 will be free for everyone to download and play from October 18, the developers have confirmed.

The extremely popular life simulation game sees you take control of your own character and decide the way they live, where their home is, and who they marry, along with many other features.

The Sims 4 has been out since 2014 and still has a huge fanbase, as developer Electronic Arts (EA) has constantly been updating the game with downloadable packs.

However, they have now provided their biggest update by announcing that the game will be free for PC, MAC, and console users.

These include different features such as Sims 4: Discover University, a Sims 4: City Living pack, and a Sims 4: Get Famous pack.

Fans of the popular game franchise have been discussing the news on social media.
