Brian Laundrie’s parents ‘do not know where he is and are concerned about him,’ according to their family lawyer.
The 23-year-old has not been seen for two weeks. He was recently added to the FBI’s most-wanted list, in relation to the homicide of Gabby Petito.
His family released a statement through their lawyer, Steve Bertolino, to People on Monday.

It read: “Chris and Roberta Laundrie do not know where Brian is. They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him.
“The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home, or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong.”
Dog the Bounty Hunter recently joined the search for Laundrie, who was reported missing on September 14 by his family.
He was the last person to be seen with the popular YouTuber whose body was found in a campsite in Wyoming.
The couple had been holidaying together across national parks in a motorhome, and regular updates of their trip were posted on Instagram.
It’s believed Laundrie returned from their holiday without Gabby and refused to cooperate with police investigations before going missing himself.

Laundrie’s family say he told them he was going hiking in the Cartlon reserve in Flordia.
The FBI carried out a five-day search of the 25,000-acre site and a dive team was also sent to look for the 23-year-old.
Recently, a survival expert expressed concern for him and warned that it’s possible his body could have been eaten in the nature reserve.
A law firm in the US is offering a $20,000 award for anyone who can lead the FBI to Laundrie’s ‘whereabouts.’
