A groom has gone viral after interrupting his own wedding to play footage of his bride apparently cheating on him with her brother-in-law.

On your wedding day, you don’t really want any surprises.

In an ideal world, everything runs smoothly, love is in the air, and each guest has a wonderful time.

However, we don’t live in an ideal world – as one groom learned.

After discovering his bride-to-be was cheating on him with her brother-in-law, he decided to react in the only way he could think of.

He played footage of the affair during his wedding ceremony…

The unverified clip from a wedding in China was shared on TikTok, with many feeling horrified in the comments.

One writes: “She had the nerve to get mad as if she’s the victim.”

Another adds: “People of all cultures are not taking cheating lightly anymore, I love this for him!”

“THIS MAN WAS ON WAR TIME!” announces a third.

The viral video is captioned: “Cheating bride.”

Text overlaying the video reads: “The groom played a video of his wife cheating on him with her pregnant sister-in-law’s husband in front of everybody.”

“Best revenge – in front of all their family and friends,” one user comments.

“Honesty, I am this petty and would 1000 per cent do this,” another agrees.

“Man stood there knowing the calamity he’s about to cause,” laughs a third.

However, some others pointed out a major flaw in the groom’s plan.

“Isn’t this at the party so doesn’t that mean they already said I do?” one questions.

“Why’d he go through with the wedding?” another confused viewer asks.

“So why did he waste all that money on the wedding?” adds a third.

Some viewers believe the man decided to opt for public humiliation as it’s basically impossible to get deposits back from wedding venues.

“Maybe he found out too late and the wedding needed to be paid for regardless [of] whether they broke it off,” one suggests.

Others think there was a bigger interest than money on the line.

“Satisfaction people. Embarrassing her in front of everyone was probably worth it for him,” another theorises.

The footage initially surfaced in Chinese media, including Sina from mainland China, Apple Daily from Hong Kong and Ettoday from Taiwan.

However, some are theorising that the footage is fake, and a part of some marketing stunt.

A Chinese gossip columnist named Mr Zha questions: “Who would air their dirty laundry on a video website?” per the Daily Mail.

“To summarise, there is only one explanation, this is a malicious marketing stunt,” he claims.

The footage shows the groom playing an X-rated video in front of a crowd of horrified wedding guests.

A saucy bedroom scene of the bride and the groom’s brother is even projected onto the screen!

The bride then becomes furious at being outed in public.

She throws her bouquet at the groom, who can be heard shouting: “Did you think I didn’t know about this?”
