Jeremy Clarkson has shared his thoughts on climate activist Greta Thunberg, commenting that she ‘needs a smacked bottom’.

The outspoken TV presenter has argued that the teenager has ‘no knowledge of how the world works’ in his most recent column for The Sunday Times.

He penned: “I simply don’t get the Thunberg phenomenon.

“She has no knowledge of how the world works, no manners and no letters after her name because instead of going to school, she’s been busy sailing round the world so she can be mardy and abusive to grown-ups.

“What she needs is a smacked bottom.”

However, Clarkson did agree with Thunberg on Cop26 and it being ‘pointless,’ as people already know what needs to be done to save the planet.

During the climate conference, Thunberg joined a Glasgow rally and went viral with her latest chant, which included lines such as, ‘You can shove your climate crisis up your a***’.

The protesting tactic comes as the 18-year-old has blasted world leaders for their lack of action when it comes to climate change.

Addressing the rally, Thunberg reportedly said: “Change is not going to come from inside there – that is not leadership, this is leadership.

“We say no more blah blah blah, no more exploitation of people and nature and the planet.

“No more exploitation. No more blah blah blah. No more whatever the f*** they are doing inside there.”

Last month, the teen also blasted UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his ‘lack of action’.

At the Youth4Climate summit, she said: “This is not about some expensive, politically correct, green act of bunny hugging.

“Build back better, blah blah blah. Green economy, blah blah blah. Net-zero by 2050, blah blah blah. Climate-neutral, blah blah blah.

“This is all we hear from our so-called leaders. Words that sound great, but so far have led to no action.”
