It reads: “McLaren Racing can confirm that Lando Norris was involved in an incident, after the Euro 2020 final match at Wembley, during which the watch he was wearing was taken.

“Thankfully, Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken.

“The team is supporting Lando, and we are sure that racing fans will join us in wishing him all the best for the British Grand Prix this weekend.

“As this is now a police matter, we cannot comment further.”

The Brit is reportedly trying to push the incident out of his mind, as he plans for the upcoming Grand Prix.

An estate agent, named Andrew Bone,  has reportedly been suspended from his job after a tweet from his social media account read: “N***** ruined it for us.”

However, Bone has since alleged that his profile was ‘hacked’ by an unknown third party.

In an interview with MailOnline, his stepfather, Robert Dutson, has insisted it was ‘not him’ that made the comment and he ‘is not racist’.

“He didn’t post the remark. His account has been hacked,” he said. “He has contacted the police about it. They are looking into it now.”
