Recognise the actress in the McDonald’s Christmas advert? Everyone is speculating over the same thing when it comes to ‘The List’.
It’s the time of year when Christmas adverts take over our TV, pulling at our heartstrings and making us realise the true meaning of Christmas.
And the McDonald’s 2022 advert ‘The List’ – which of course is showing off their delicious new festive menu – is making everyone do just that as they created a beautiful ad to demonstrate the importance of family at Christmas.
However, while many are heart warmed by the message, there are plenty of viewers who have become very nostalgic as they recognise the lead actress in the food advert.

So who is the actress in the McDonald’s advert? Well, as some eagle-eyed viewers have pointed out, it is Siobhan Hayes who played Abi Harper in the popular BBC sitcom, My Family.
Now, 47 years old, Siobhan has had all TV viewers delighted to see her back on the screens.
One Twitter fan commented: “Ooh is that Siobhan Hayes on the 2022 McDonald’s Christmas ad? I used to love her in My Family (and wish she’d lasted longer on Strictly).”
Another added: “Abi from My family (Siobhan Hayes) is not only in the Specsavers advert she is also the mum in the McDonald’s Advert… haven’t seen her in years.”
As fans have pointed out, Siobhan is also currently on the Specsavers adverts too.
So what has Siobhan been up to since her time on My Family? Since then, the actress has had many short TV roles including Marple, EastEnders and Holby City.
She also took on the famous dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing in 2005 but was sadly voted off first.
This year McDonald’s has created the perfect Christmas menu for its eaters, including bringing back the Big Tasty.
The fast-food restaurant also has a new festive drinks menu as well as a new addition to the breakfast menu – the Mighty McMuffin.
The festive menu is available to buy now, across all McDonald’s restaurants.
