In the end, the grand total came to $741.53, which included a service charge of $104.94.

The post has now garnered over 270,000 views and thousands have taken to the comments and remarked on how much money the date cost.

One said: “It’s the ‘Make his pockets hurt’. People still using folks to brag on social media.”

Another added: “If his pockets hurt after that he should have never gone. I’m down for eating well but this here… I’m good.”

“‘Make his pockets hurt’ but y’all sharing a steak… I cannot,” a third commented.

A fourth pitched in, saying: “Not with them damn prices.”

However, many took to the comments and defended the woman over the expensive date, with many arguing it was an ‘experience’.

“I’m not sure what the problem is,” one person penned. “A lot of people pay for the experience. If this ain’t for you, it ain’t for you.”

In agreement, a second said: “Y’all should understand people will pay for experiences. Good food is an experience.”

“It’s worth the price,” a third argued. “Trust.”

After the post went viral, the woman replied to some of the comments and said: “Y’all, my fiancé is a millionaire. He rarely ever looks at the ticket. Our whole lifestyle luxury!”
