Brian Laundrie’s mother, Roberta Laundrie, has been accused of ‘using a burner phone,’ as the search for her missing son, who is on the FBI’s ‘Most Wanted’ list following the homicide of Gabby Petito, continues.
Tampa Bay reporter Shannon Clowe says she probed the FBI in Florida about the claim and a spokesperson would ‘not confirm or deny’ it.
Taking to Twitter, she said: “We asked the #FBI if Roberta #Laundrie had a burner phone.”

The response she allegedly received read: “We do not confirm or deny contact with any individual or entity in order to preserve their privacy.
“As such, we do not confirm or deny the receipt of any tip. We have no additional comment.”
She claims she also asked the family’s lawyer Steven Bertolino the ‘same question’ and, according to her, he replied ‘no comment’.
Earlier this week, Inside Edition reported that Laundrie’s Instagram apparently went live ‘for a few seconds’ and they’ve also claimed his Spotify playlist was changed, suggesting he also has access to a phone. However, none of this has been confirmed by authorities.
It comes as a Flordia state park, Fort De Soto, claimed their records show that the Laundrie family checked into the campground from September 6-8, three days before Gabby was reported missing.

Laundrie was apparently the last person to be seen with the 22-year-old before she vanished.
Tragically, the YouTuber’s body was found in a campsite in Wyoming on September 20.
Her family held a press conference earlier this week and described her as a ‘bright light in everyone’s life that knew her’.
