A bride-to-be has explained why she sent out two-page documents to all her bridesmaids in the lead up to her special day.
Lisa Torres, from Texas, US, has gone viral on TikTok after opening up about her ‘transparent’ pre-wedding plans that mean no one has any unanswered questions.
In the clip, she said: “Before I got engaged, I was a bridesmaid before and I wasn’t fully aware of the costs and expectations associated with being [one].

“I felt very insecure doing this, but I’m ultimately glad I did. And that included a letter of what I expected from my bridal party.”
According to the bride, her letter explained everything that her bridesmaids would need to know about both ‘time’ and ‘money’. Plus, she included some terms and conditions they had to follow.
Knowing it could be overwhelming for some of them, Torres also gave her friends the option of declining the role.
So far, the TikToker’s video has received a whopping 5.5million views and hundreds have taken to the comments to share whether or not they agree with this tactic for a stress-free wedding.

One viewer said: “That is a mature way of handling it!”
Another added: “I love how considerate you were to your friends, even though it was your special event.”
But the post also led to a debate over whether or not the bridesmaid should have to pay for anything at all.
“I’ve always wondered why bridesmaids need to pay for anything for the wedding when it’s the person’s special day and not theirs,” one TikToker commented.
