Piers Morgan has claimed that Katy Perry had a chilling nickname for Russell Brand.

In a joint investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches, Brand, 48, has been accused of s**xually assaulting four women between 2006 and 2013.

The comedian has denied all the allegations made against him and stated that all his relationships ‘were absolutely, always consensual’.

Following the allegations, Brand’s life has come under scrutiny, with his previous marriage to pop star Perry making headlines.

A resurfaced interview of Perry’s with Vogue magazine from 2013 has been a topic of discussion, as the ‘Dark Horse’ singer told the publication she learnt ‘the real truth’ about Brand after their 14-month marriage.

“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” Perry told the outlet.

“Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me [on] December 31, 2011.

“I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can’t necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day.

“I let go and I was like: This isn’t because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that.”

It has yet to be confirmed what Perry is referring to when she discussed ‘the real truth’.

And now Piers Morgan is making the headlines, as he’s taken to his column for The Sun and alleged that he spoke to Perry and asked her for an interview about her divorce after bumping into her at a Vanity Fair party in the US back in 2013.

The ‘California Gurls’ singer reportedly declined, saying she was ‘not ready yet’.

“Why not?” the ex-Good Morning Britain presenter apparently asked her.

The 58-year-old claims that Perry responded: “Because you’ll get the truth out of me, and I’m just not ready to tell you the truth! In fact, I’m not sure I’m ready to admit the truth to myself.”

In his article for The Sun, Morgan questioned: “What truth was she worried about admitting?”

The Piers Morgan Uncensored host then alleged that Perry compared her ex-husband to Grigori Rasputin – a Russian mystic and holy man who was known for his scandalous reputation and seduction of women.

She reportedly said: “You Brits are all the same, so damn confident… Trouble is, I find that irresistible. I love Brits… Well, not all of them – not Rasputin, obviously.”

The TV presenter claimed that Brand was left ‘thrilled’ with this alleged comparison and that he thought Rasputin was a ‘pretty powerful bloke’ who ‘could manipulate folks with his eyes’.

“I like Rasputin…,” the Get Him to the Greek actor allegedly said. “He was all right, wasn’t he… a mad monk with magical, mystical powers, having it off with everyone, drinking and getting into fights.”
