An ‘honest’ mum has confessed she finds having children ‘tedious’ in a video titled ‘things I wish I knew about having kids before I had kids’.
Stacey Green, from Canada, uploaded the video, along with several others, to TikTok and they’ve amassed millions of views and thousands of comments.
In the first part, she says: “Like you have to do things with them, like all the time. Like, fill the day with things to do. For them.

“Before my Saturday would have been maybe hanging out with my friends Mary and Jane, watching TV or going to a cottage.”
“Now my days are spent in a field saying 1,2,3 GO! As we go up and down a hill on a tractor.”
Many people have seen the funny side and praised her for being ‘so relatable’.
One commented: “OMG. Finally, someone is talking about these situations. We as a mom do not regret having kids, but being a mom is taking a full 24-hour job for 21 years. (If we are lucky).”
Another added: “I’ve been a mother for 22 years now, it’s the toughest job in the world and it brightens my day when I hear honest parents like you.”

However, others weren’t impressed with her comments and said they couldn’t ‘understand’ why she chose to have kids in the first place.
One person wrote: “Why do people who don’t understand the work parenting require to have children? Did you not do the research before making the life-changing decision.”
“I just don’t understand how people don’t realise this before having kids,” wrote another. They added: “What did you think you would do all day? Ignore them?”
