A woman on TikTok claims to have a chip implanted in her hand that opens doors and cupboards in her home.

Posting under the username @chipgirlhere, the American filmed herself having the ‘procedure’ done last year and has since demonstrated how it works on the platform.

In one clip, she said it was her ‘techie husband’s’ idea to implant the RFID chip.

She said: “My techie husband convinced me to get a chip in my hand.

“It’s used as a key.”

The video has been viewed a staggering nine million times, but comments have since been disabled, as she has claimed they’ve turned ‘negative’.

The mum regularly shows off her lavish lifestyle and home and how convenient it is to be able to unlock everything with her fingertips.

But followers have flooded her videos that don’t have comments disabled with questions.

One viewer wrote: “This is so cool, how much did all this cost if you don’t mind me asking?”

Another asked: “Can you do a video explaining the door locks you use with your RFID?

“I showed my husband one video and he is now obsessed.”

A third follower quipped: “Omg amazing, never have to worry about keys!”

The TikToker claimed the chip can do ‘way more’ than just locking doors, adding that it can store information like a phone number or ID account.

Many TikTokers have been dismissive of how useful the device could be, especially when it comes to the woman’s safety.

One follower pointed out: “If someone really wanted to hurt you they would break the glass with, there are tons of ways to break it.”
