A woman has claimed that she was ‘degraded’ by plane staff after they branded her outfit ‘inappropriate’.

Sierra Steadman took to TikTok and blasted Alaska Airlines for making her feel ’embarrassed’ and ‘sad’.

Allegedly, the company shamed her in front of other passengers and apparently threatened to kick her off the flight.

In the clip, Steadman revealed that she had been wearing a crop top and shorts, along with a hoodie.

She captioned it: “I’ve never felt more degraded, ashamed, embarrassed, angry, or sad.”

Thousand of viewers have now taken to the comments to show their support for the young woman.

One person said: “I just went through something similar and I had leggings and a crop top on. I think they’re getting more strict because I’ve heard of a few cases now.”

Another added: “As a flight attendant, I’m so sorry that happened to you. She was probably jealous because 99% couldn’t care less what passengers wear.”

“So sorry you went through this. Omg. Hope the airline gave you an apology at least!” a third wrote.

Later on, Steadman confirmed that her mum – who made a complaint about the incident – had received an apology from Alaska Airlines.

It read: “Alaska strives to provide exceptional service to our customers. From what you have shared, it is apparent that we have failed.

“You and your daughter should expect nothing less than to be treated with the utmost respect, compassion and care. It is truly disappointing to hear that you both did not feel that way during boarding and during the interactions with our flight attendant.

“We want to assure you that we take these matters very seriously and have shared your concern with our Inflight Management team that will conduct an internal investigation.

“Due to privacy concerns, we will be unable to disclose any findings, but can guarantee you this will be reviewed.”
