Amber Heard’s makeup artist has explained how she ‘helped cover up the star’s alleged bruises’ in the Johnny Depp defamation trial

Melanie Inglessis testified via a video link and told jurors about the time the actress was expected to make an appearance on James Corden’s show in 2015.

She alleged: “When I came to the penthouse to do Amber’s makeup, she had injuries.

“She had two light – I’m not a medical expert – but it looked like somebody had headbutted her lightly so she had discolouration here under both eyes and the bridge of the nose and she had what I would call a split lip or something on the lip like a gash or split lip.”

Explaining how she did the star’s makeup for the show, she continued with her claims, saying: “I just did makeup, just a little heavier.

“We covered the discolouration or bruises with a slightly heavier concealer, one that had more of a peach undertone that I would normally not use on Amber, but peach does cancel blue, so I did that under the eyes.”

Inglessis then alleged: “Though Amber always has a red lip, it’s one of her signature looks, I remember clearly talking we had no other option that night than to use a red blood, like, a really red lipstick to make sure we could cover up the injuries on the lip.”

Previously, Heard has testified about the alleged incident and claimed: “The next day I checked to see if I could get away with it [the alleged bruises], hiding it, so I could make an appearance. I gambled and thought maybe I could pull it off.

“Had my hair and makeup team come and they worked around it, meaning worked around the legions on my head with the hairspray because that stings and worked around the bruising by covering it with heavier makeup than normal bruise covering makeup.”
