Scarlett Moffatt was left ‘gutted’ when she phoned her dad on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and he gave her the wrong answer to a question.

The TV personality appeared on the ITV show on Tuesday night with the hopes of winning the £1million jackpot that she planned to donate to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

However, when it came to the £16,000 question, she was left clueless.

The former Gogglebox star was asked: “What Admiral Nelson has in his left hand on the statue at the top of Nelson’s Column in London’s Trafalgar Square?”

Moffatt could choose from the options of a rifle, a telescope, a book, or a sword.

The 31-year-old decided to ring up her dad, Mark, and she then asked him whether he agreed with her that the right answer was the telescope.

In response, her dad said he was ’75 percent’ sure his daughter was correct.

Turning to Jeremy Clarkson, Moffatt confirmed her answer, saying: “I trust my dad because he is my dad, so I am going to go for telescope – final answer.”

To her disappointment, it turned out that this was wrong and the show’s host revealed the answer was actually a sword.

Although she was left ‘gutted’ by the error, the TV star said she was ‘happy’ to take away £8,000 for charity.

At this point, Clarkson cheekily quipped: “Not as happy as they would have been with £16k – but I know what you mean.”
