A man who ‘died’ for 20 minutes has shared what he saw in the afterlife and how it has changed his life forever.

Afterlife is a continued existence in some form after physiological death.

Many people claimed to have witnessed the afterlife before being brought back to life, with each person sharing a different experience.

One man has now recalled his trip to the afterlife and the impact it has had on his life going forward.

Scott Drummond was in his twenties when he arrived at the hospital to undergo a routine operation after suffering an injury from a skiing accident.

He had dislocated his thumb and expected the surgical procedure to be straightforward without any complications, however, all was not as it seemed.

In a rather drastic turn, one of the nurses applied Drummond’s surgical tourniquet incorrectly.

Years later, Drummond has spoken out about what happened next in an interview with Prioritize Your Life.

He explained that when undergoing his procedure, he actually felt a faceless presence at his side, which he is now convinced was God, who apparently transported him into a field.

Drummond recalled: “I was standing in a field where the person who was with me was right next to me, but I couldn’t see them.”

He went on to explain that he vividly remembers floating above his body in the operating room and that he could see ‘every stitch’ that was being placed into his thumb.

“I remember so vividly, that I could never look back, or I was instructed never to look back again,” Drummond added.

“The next thing I knew, it was like a twinkling of an eye.”

He then recalled being transported to a setting where some big ‘unusual looking trees’ and ‘beautiful wildflowers’ surrounded him.

“I remember looking and seeing how beautiful the flowers were because something that I really enjoy is yard work and gardening,” he continued.

“The next thing I knew the person that had escorted me there was not there any more and I was by myself, but it was so peaceful.”

All of a sudden, Drummond apparently began watching a video of his life from the day he was born until that moment.

He claimed to have seen everything he’d done throughout his life – both the good and the bad – and felt as if he was being judged for what he had done.

He said: “I remember some of it hurt. Some of it made me feel good. But it was what it was.

“I knew I had to do better with my life.”

Drummond went on to explain that he was instructed to walk to a cloud, but as he approached it an arm stopped him and a voice said: “It is not yet your time. You have more things yet to do.”

He then woke up on the operating table and was surprised to have found out he had been ‘dead’ for 20 minutes.

Drummond admitted in the interview that he didn’t actually want to come back to life as what he had seen was so beautiful and tranquil.

Despite the traumatising experience being ‘life-changing’, Drummond revealed that he only told his wife and a handful of close friends about his trip to the afterlife at first.

He said it changed the way he viewed his own existence and he decided to shift his focus from ‘making money’ to being devoted to his family.
